ToFD Data Analysis

Eddy Current Analysis

IRIS Data Analysis
Quantitative wall thickness mapping analysis for heat exchanger and boiler tubes using ultrasonic IRIS data. Ideal where ET is insufficient — ferromagnetic tubes, complex geometries, or high-accuracy thickness required.

PAUT Procedure — Carbon Steel Circumferential Welds
Phased array procedure for circumferential pipe welds in carbon steel. Developed and validated on Petrobras, MODEC and FPSO projects. Covers pipe shop and field welds from 2.8 mm to 200 mm thick.
PAUT Procedure — Austenitic & Duplex Stainless Steel
Phased array procedure for austenitic, duplex and super-duplex stainless steel welds. Based on 20,000+ joints inspected across alloys TP304, TP316L, TP317L, TP347, TP321, Duplex and Super-Duplex.
PAUT Procedure — Dissimilar & Complex Geometry Welds
Procedure for heterogeneous and complex geometry joints including Inconel 625, Incoloy 800HT and A333 Gr.8 × Inconel dissimilar welds. Validated with Petrobras SEQUI.
PAUT Corrosion Mapping Procedure
Encoded phased array raster scanning for remaining wall thickness mapping on piping and pressure vessels. Strip scan, zone discrimination and corrosion mapping protocols included.
ToFD Weld Examination Procedure
Time-of-flight diffraction procedure for detection, characterisation and precise crack sizing in welds. Includes PCS optimisation, lateral wave verification and dead zone coverage strategy.
PAUT + ToFD Tandem Procedure
Combined phased array and ToFD procedure for high-consequence welds requiring both detection and accurate through-wall sizing. Ideal for fitness-for-service and pressure vessel fabrication.
Conventional UT — Shear Wave Weld Inspection
Angle beam shear wave procedure for carbon steel weld inspection. Developed to B31.3, B31.8, API 1104 and AWS D1.1. Covers temporary and permanent structures including ILA and spool fabrication.
UT Procedure — Boiler & Pressure Piping
Ultrasonic testing procedure for boiler tubes, pressure piping and confined space inspection. Based on field work at Fosfértil and REPLAN refinery maintenance shutdowns.
Eddy Current — Heat Exchanger Tube Inspection
Bobbin coil and rotating probe ET procedure for heat exchanger tube inspection. Subject of peer-reviewed publication at the 2019 South Australia Conference — 316L acid heat exchangers and brass condensers.
